These were the rules for 2008:
- $10,000 for first place fish and $10,000 for first place boat!
- Boundaries have been expanded: Government Cut to the South and Palm Beach Inlet to the North
- New Angler Division (Anglers are eligible if they have not fished the Rodeo in 2006 and 2007)
- Check out of three inlets: Boca Inlet, Hillsboro Inlet and Port Everglades
- Rodeo Headquarters remain at the 14th Street Boat Ramp Park (Alsdorf Park)
