The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will salute the contributions of the brave men and women of law enforcement with a variety of demonstrations illustrating their unique capabilities as part of police appreciation day on Saturday, August 20th from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.
Among the groups putting on demonstrations will be the NYPD Emergency Service K-9 Unit, NYPD Scuba Unit, NYPD Mounted Unit, NYPD Bomb Squad and NYPD Youth Division. Additionally, a restored 52-foot-long NYC Harbor Police Boat will be docked along Pier 86.
All activities are free with admission to the museum.
Police appreciation weekend pays tribute to New York City’s police officers and organizations. Free admission for police officers and 50% discount for family members accompanying a police officer.
