In his varied and prolific career, painter Francesco Clemente has had strong ties to poets, collaborating with Gregory Corso, Robert Creeley, Allen Ginsberg, Rene Ricard and John Wieners. A new publication, 'Alcuni Telefonni,' with watercolors by Clemente and poems by Vincent Katz (Granary Books, 2008) provides the occasion to look at Clemente's work with poets. A reading from the book by Katz will be followed by a discussion of collaboration, moderated by Raymond Foye.
