One of South Florida's leading literary and cultural figures, poet and Miami Dade College professor Ricardo Pau-Llosa, will be reading works inspired by paintings and sculptures on Thursday, July 8, at 7 p.m. at Cremata Gallery in Little Havana. The event will be in English.
Pau-Llosa will also read from his series of poems, simply titled Man. These poems intersect miracles, parables, and events narrated in the Bible with mundane scenes and occurrences, such as the resurrection of Lazarus in terms of a man who has lost a winning lottery ticket and Pontius Pilate reset in a high-school chemistry class.
