Join us as Poetry Atlanta presents three distinguished poets performing on the Wordsmiths Books stage. Wordsmiths Books favorite Laurel Snyder's new collection of poetry, The Myth of the Simple Machines, has just been published by No Tell Books. She won the Burnside Review Chapbook Contest for Daphne and Jim and edited the bestselling anthology Half-Life: Jew-ish From Almost, Not Quite, and In-between. Her work has appeared in many journals and magazines. Katie Chaple's poems have appeared in 32 Poems, Bellevue Literary Review, Antioch Review, The Southern Poetry Review, and Rattle, to name a few. She is managing editor of Terminus magazine and teaches at West Georgia College. Chelsea Rathburn's poems have appeared in The New Criterion, Hudson Review, Formalist, and Pleiades, among other journals and anthologies. Her collection, The Shifting Line, was the winner of the 2005 Richard Wilbur Award and published in 2005 by the University of Evansville Press.
