In keeping with the theme of the current exhibition, 'Dragons, Nagas, and Creatures of the Deep,' The Textile Museum is screening 'The Host (2006).' This contemporary Korean film begins with a chemical dump in the Han River, which grows a hideous water monster that terrorizes Seoul. It is up to a humble snack-shop family to save their daughter and the city - but how will they do it? Chills, comic-relief, and sleek special effects make this a monster flick that can be enjoyed by all. Come before sunset to enjoy drinks, music, and the chance to "meet" the good-willed dragons on view in the galleries. Bring your own snacks, or purchase steamed buns by People's Bao. Visitors to this PM @ The TM will also be able to visit and interact with a panel of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, on view for just one week (July 21-27).
