If you love hot and spicy food, than you definitely have to check out the fiery Southern Thai cuisine at Jitlada. For those of you who didn't know, Jitlada is currently under new ownership and Owners, Chef Tui Sungkamee and his sister, Jazz Singsanong, decided to introduce favorite family recipes from their native area of Nakhon Sri Thammarat province near the Malaysian border as a way to bring back a previously waning clientele.

Most Thai restaurants feature Northern Thai Cuisine, so even having an extensive menu of 40 Southern Thai dishes is really unheard of and yet, Jitlada still was a hidden treasure. It wasn't until a Chicago food blogger, who happened to luck out in finding Jitlada, posted an extensive review that other foodies, especially LA foodies started to take notice and now, Jitlada is definitely the place to go if you have a love for all things spicy. :)
