Time to tempt your palate with all the pleasurable flavors that Southern California has to offer. Join Pleasure Palate as we do some culinary exploring of restaurants (both high-end and holes in the walls), various food and beverage tastings, cooking classes, potlucks and so much more. From savory to sweet, from salty to sour, from spicy to tangy, from exotic to All-American, we'll taste it all, so come along and take your taste buds on the ride of their life. Today, we'll be taking a culinary, cultural and shopping tour of Little India in Artesia!

The tour, which only costs $40, will be led by 2 members of the LA Mumbai Sister City Affiliation, will start off with lunch at 11:30 am where we will be introduced by the chef to South Indian Vegetarian Cuisine and as well as the spices used for that meal. After lunch, we'll head off to a sari draping demonstration at a Sari boutique and than to a craft and gift shop where the owner will give us a talk on some of the Hindu deities.

For the mid-portion of our tour, we will be given a schedule that will outline about 4 to 5 stores, including a spice shop, music store, jewelery store, where we can do some shopping and also get a 10% discount on that day as a part of the LA Mumbai group tour. This part of the tour will give you free time to wander where you will around Little India.

To end the tour, we will be meeting up at Saffron Spot at 2:30 pm to experience exotic Indian ice creams, refreshing sugar cane juice and also Chai.

A day learning, tasting, experiencing what Little India is all about is definitely time well spent, so please come out and join us!
