This play is about Begum Jaan, a gutsy woman whose sense of humour has remained undimmed by life's trials.
The other people in her life are granddaughter, Zarina, with whom her relationship is volatile and Sanjay Pande, a journalist whose only interest is making material gains overnight. The script is a reflection of the changing face of India – from pre-Independence to contemporary times seen through Begum Jaan`s eyes.
