Plano Community Invited to Drop off New Shoes for Orphans July 30, 2011

Shoes for Orphan Souls, the largest humanitarian aid project of Buckner International, is inviting the Plano community to drop off new shoes Saturday, July 30 at Prestonwood Baptist Church, corner of Hebron and International Parkway, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The drop-off event, called the Shoe-In Finale, is part of the Dallas Patriots and Premier Baseball Academy’s first ever shoe drive. Community partners KCBI Radio, WFAA Channel 8’s Pete Delkus and Chinese Laundry, who donated 5,000 Little Laundry shoes, are supporting the shoe drive and event.
