1) Activist Cinema (9:00am-12:00pm)

Participating festival filmmakers, broadcasters, NGO representatives and environmental activists will participate in a discussion on the production and dissemination of activist cinema works. Is it getting easier to tell your story and have it widely screened? Is the only proven way in the mainstream?

2) Green Pitch (1:00pm - 4:00pm)

Finalists chosen for The Green Pitch will present their ideas to a panel of judges from the Nature of Things, The Canadian Autoworkers Union and the Independent Film community. The winner of the pitch will be announced at our closing night Awards Ceremony and will receive development funding toward their film. This is an opportunity to hone one’s skills in presenting ideas and to provide feedback to aspiring filmmakers on the strength and merit of their projects.
