SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Want to impress your sweetie this Valentine's Day with a home-cooked, gourmet dinner? Chef Gary Mlinarich of Piñon Grill will present his "Toast to Love" Valentine's Day cooking class at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 at Piñon Grill.
Chef Mlinarich will demonstrate how to cook and prepare three courses guaranteed to bring on the romance this Valentine's Day. The first course features lobster medallion salad with heirloom tomatoes and champagne vinaigrette and will be paired with Jargon Chardonnay.
The entree is pan-seared salmon topped with guaymas beurre blanc. The salmon will be served with fingerling potatoes and grilled broccolini accompanied by Francis Ford Coppola's Director's Pinot Noir. A fresh berry crustada will be prepared for dessert and paired with Hogue Riesling.
The class is $24 per person and reservations are required.
Served in a picturesque lakeside dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows featuring a panoramic patio, Piñon Grill dinner hours are 5 to 10 p.m. daily.
