Looking for a job? Need to polish the resume? Want to network with other professionals?
Mark your calendars now. I have personally been organizing this and we have at least 10 recruiters from companies like Prudential, StartUp, Journaling Jenius, Simply Hired, Talent Mosaic and more as well as career coaches doing one on one sessions.
What is a Pink Slip Party?
The Pink Slip Party is a grass-roots phenomenon that gathers together professional workers and sympathizers to honor the passing of the many companies that have shut their doors or have down-sized throughout this market meltdown. The event is about networking and connects the pink slipped (and those who are nervous about being let go) with HR and recruiting professionals at companies that are still hiring.
Aside from the usual commiseration and fun that every pink slip party brings, headhunters, direct-hire companies, and recruiting firms are also on-hand to learn a little bit more about what you do. Connect with career coaches who will help polish that resume and hone your interviewing skills in this competitive job market. Maybe you'll meet a new contact or find a new job?
NO MORE DOOM AND GLOOM.
When you come in the door, you'll be given a color-coded name tag that identifies you as a job seeker or a recruiter or admissions representative so you can network with the people that matter to you!
