September 11-14, 2008, Lake Woerthersee will host the first PINK WAVE Festival for the international Gay and Lesbian Community. To end the summer with a huge splash, the Austrian state of Carinthia, region of Lake Woerther, the town of Poertschach and the event organizer COMMUNIGAYTE warmly invite all the GLBT people, as well as Friends of the Community, to discover this unique and beautiful region in Austria.
PINK WAVE offers something for everyone: whether you are looking to party, relax, connect with new people or spend romantic down time together as a couple. With anticipated event attendees from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, England and other countries, it will truly be an international event: an festival of fun, entertainment, sporting, wellness – and of course, the opportunity to meet fantastic new people.
The event program currently includes a Welcome Party, Beach Club on the beach promenade, Club Night in Poertschach’s Congress Center, a boat party with live DJs on Lake Woethersee; as well an abundance of sporting, relaxation, wellness and other daily activities not only in Poertschach, but also throughout the entire region. Additionally, local hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes and businesses will warmly welcome the GLBT Community with a wide variety of activities, ensuring all guests will have a great time. All events and the daily program will be communicated in detail in the official PINK WAVE Event Guide, which will be distributed to every guest upon arrival in an official Welcome Kit.
Tickets for the BOAT CRUISE Party and the PINK WAVE Club Night in the Congress Center (€10 per ticket) can be purchased individually at the Information Stand at the PINK WAVE Hausboot.
All other events, for example the Dinner Party in Schloss-Hotel Leonstain, the „All Aboard Dinner“, Happy Hours, Wellness offers, etc, may be selected based on interest and paid directly at each of the selected events. (Note: there will be limited capacity at some of these events.)

Guest House Kitty Austria
Hi all
As you know the pink wave is in Austria this year. My wife and I own a guest house
in Pörtschach on Lake Wörthersee.
We have 6 room's. All on suite. We can sleep 15 in our room's. The cost is 32euro per person This includes Breakfast.
We are just 150meters away from the Lake.
