Son of rapper, Peter Gunz, Cory Gunz has amassed incredible success in a short time from being signed to Universal/Motown Records by Tommy Mottola to working with Jay-Z under Island Def Jam Music Group and his current position as a Militia Records hip hop artist. In a time when the golden age of hip hop is considered by many to belong to long past years of the early 90's, West Coast native Fashawn bursts on the scene with an intention to bring it back to the musically robust themes of political unrest and self awareness that made artists like A Tribe Called Quest and Public Enemy shine.
