The 2007 Pikes Peak Writers Conference will be a three-day, jam-packed expedition into the world of commercial fiction writing as well as a celebration of our 15th anniversary. Our featured speakers include:
* Jim Butcher, who is the author of the Dresden Files, the best-selling urban fantasy book series featuring Chicago wizard Harry Dresden, coming to the SciFi channel in January.
* Robert Crais, a returning favorite, who is the author of the best-selling Elvis Cole novels, and who is not only a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, but whose book Hostage was named by Amazon editors as the #1 thriller of the year.
* Dr. Eric Maisel, who is widely considered to be America's foremost creativity coach with more than thirty works of nonfiction and fiction include many classics for the creative person.
* Mary Jo Putney, who has made all of the national bestseller lists including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly, and who is a nine-time RITA finalist and three time winner.
Besides agents and editors, we'll feature a multitude of authors including new faces such as Shanna Swendson and Daniel Abraham, Front Range favorites including RT Lawton and Tara Janzen, and returning favorites including Debra Dixon, Christine Goff, and Maggie Sefton. In addition, this year we're offering manuscript evaluation sessions with Laurie Wagner Buyer and Steve Saffel. These and many more will make our 2007 conference and 15th anniversary celebration the greatest PPWC yet!
