PIFA: Atypical April 28, 2011

Inspired by 19th Century Paris, three Atypical alumni (Ryat: experimental music composer and singer, Francois Zayas: Cuban-born percussionist-composer and Viji Rao: classical Indian Bharatanatyam dancer-choreographer) combine their talents to create an original, genre-bending performance work inspired by the emotion that connects us all, love. Find yourself in 19th century Paris to follow a tale of two lovers who defy their social stations in the name of the love they share. Atypical is a Bride series that showcases Philadelphia emerging artists directed by Lenny Seidman, Bride music curator.
