A special traveling exhibit from the Texas Maritime Museum, which provides a brief glimpse at the United States' strong Naval presence along the Texas Coast.
The Navy's presence in Texas since WWII, whether protecting of the Gulf of Mexico from German U-boats, training Naval Aviators, or providing a home base for minesweeping operations has been valuable to our freedom.
These historic bases have trained people who later became Aces, Astronauts, and even Presidents. The Texas Maritime Museum salutes those who have protected, and continue to protect our freedoms.
Kerr Arts & Cultural Ctr has no admission charge. It is open Tues-Sat 10-4, Sun 1-4 and closed Mondays.
