Piano recital by Ana Fau and Ilmari Hopkins March 19, 2008

Ilmari Hopkins, born in Finland, is co-principal cellist of the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Norway, and first-prize winner of the Lahti International Music Competition in Finland. He studied at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia and the Royal Academy of Music of Stockholm.Hopkins has toured as a soloist in Japan, South Africa, Europe and Latin America and has recorded for the Swedish radio. His most recent CD was produced by Azurra Classics. Ana Fau, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a graduate of the St. Petersburg Conservatory in Russia. She has toured as a soloist in the United States, Europe and Latin America.Fau has recorded extensively for WFMT (the classical radio station of Chicago), Telemundo Chicago, Channel 4 of Italy and radio stations in Russia, Honduras and Argentina (LRA1 National Radio).
