This month we have a talk on vfsStream - Effective Filesystem Mocking by Sebastian Marek. Unit testing might be quite challenging, especially if it comes with interaction with external services. Although it might seem dealing with a local filesystem is not a problem as you usually have full control over it, after some time you might find yourself spamming your disk with all temporary files used during unit testing. During this talk I will tell you how to effectively use vfsStream with PHPUnit to avoid that. Come and see how can you refactor your code to make it filesystem independent and easily testable.
