It's been almost a year since the last photowalk, at least that anyone wrote about on this site.
Photowalking (faux-toe-wha-keen), AKA the social act of taking pictures of things you probably walk past every day, but never take the time to really look at. More: http://www.photowalking.org/faq/
A few months ago, we took a photowalk downtown around College Park. It was well attended, and there were lots of new people. We have also done photowalks around Lake Eola, in Winter Park, and downtown. Check out our Orlando Photowalking Flickr pool for examples.
A bunch of folks will meet up at the Gazebo in downtown Winter Garden on Plant St and strike out from there by 4:30PM. This way it shouldn't be too hot or too dark once we get started.
Once we finish, we'll scope out a place to eat or drink. Downtown has at least a half-dozen spots that are great for just that.
Bring your camera and blank memory cards. Point-and-shoots as well as DSLRs, or the old-school kind are all welcome.
