Join the one and only Smoothdude, Daniel Krieger, and Thomas Hawk for a photowalking expedition NY style. We will start at 3pm under the Washington Square Arch in Greenwich Village at Washington Square Park, spend some time down in the subways and also possibly hit the top of the Empire State Building or Rockefeller Center for an early evening cityscape view.
This photowalk is a work in progress, so if you have ideas on how to contribute or make it more successful please chime in.

Oh I'm so excited you're planning one in NYC! I hope I'm finished with my finals by then!
Darn...gonna miss this by one week! Grrr!
I'm in.
Cool. Although hanging out around Empire State Building / Rockefeller around the holidays can be a bit of a mess...
Yeeeeahhh! Please come to NYC!!!
I will most likely be attending! Can't wait to finally meet fellow zooomrites!
Had to do it on a Saturday? Lots of Jews gonna be missing out. Sorry, catch the next one, I hope.
smoothdude will be there.
i'm there! not even a question.
Do I need a real big-boy camera or can I just bring my phone?
Good luck with Rockefeller Center... it'll be a madhouse two weeks before Xmas. But I'll be there anyway!
Sounds like fun!
anyone have a light meter they're planning on bringing?
Oh man, wish I could go. Sounds like an awesome time. Can't wait to see the photos.
Saturday is almost here
are there really 26 frigging people coming? that's going to be a madhouse
but fun im sure
Is anyone free during the day? I'm flying in Friday night and am free all day Saturday and I'm looking for things to do until the meetup at 3.

I'm interested in attending.
Looks like we may get some snow. Bring yer hats and boots! Calanan: I'm free all day Saturday.
are we really meeting in Wash Square park?
thomas hasnt returned my emails so i dont know where he's at.. ill try to post a meeting time/place when i speak to TH
Rock on! You guys are going to have a great time!
Since the weather is supposed to be bad later..maybe we can meet around 2pm instead of 3pm.
so how many people are going to be there?
That's the assumption I've been under.
I'm down to start earlier. Nothing wrong with a little pre-game action. As of now it's supposed to start snowing around 9pm.
Looking forward to tomorrow's walk. If anyone needs to get a hold of me my mobile phone number is on my profile on Facebook.
Oh no kidding, Thomas will be there??? I'll be in the area around that time, but probably won't be able to join you guys. Have fun, and I hope you get to come back to NYC soon!
TH I don't use facebook. send me a gmail u putz
so lets say wash square park by the fountain 2pm tomorrow?
Hopefully i can make it!
Any idea of an agenda? Starting at 3 its gonna get dark pretty quickly and I dont know how many of us will be travelling with tripods =)
I'll try to be there by 2PM but will be in the city earlier with family so I might be closer to the 3PM official start time. My cell is 908 461 7181 if the group moves much past the WSPark before 3.
looks like the snow is staying away until late - around midnight. see you all tomorrow!
On my way from Jersey soon, and I've decided to lug my tripod after all.
Looks like UnsilentNight is at Washington Square Park tonight at 7PM, that should be pretty interesting if you can do high ISO or Flash:
