This weekend crash course will deliver a broad understanding of Photoshop as a tool for image adjustment. Photoshop is a large and complex program, but this class will keep it simple by focusing on one tool and technique at a time. Getting a solid grounding in the basics will help each student reach for more complex techniques in the future.
From lassos to healing brushes, and histograms to crop tools, this specially designed weekend course will introduce the student to the image-editing power (and fun) of Photoshop. The workshop will deliver a broad understanding of the core tools in Photoshop along with important introductions to digital imaging concepts like pixels, resolution, resampling, jpegs, color.
We will cover the basics of the Tool Bar with hands-on exercises as well as tackle color correction, contrast, basic black & white conversions, histograms, and fun-with-filters. Students will come away from the weekend with a good handle on how to use Photoshop for a variety of practices.
