Photography Workshop - Creating the Digital Montage March 6, 2010

The photographic digital collage technique is perfectly suited to portray the imagined world of idea, memory, and emotion. In this hands-on workshop, students will explore the multi-faceted art of the photographic composite. Our explorations will incorporate visual materials into existing images to create dream-like and surreal montages. Students will explore Photoshop's capabilities for image layering and learn new techniques and technical shortcuts. Intermediate level - familiarity with Photoshop a must! Students should bring their own laptops, loaded with Photoshop CS (they can down-load a trial version for 30 days, free), a mouse and mousepad, or a Wacom tablet and stylus.
