This six-month course is for the intermediate to advanced photographer who is looking to refine his or her vision and creativity by producing work within a structured class environment.
Meeting once per month, the class time will be split between lectures highlighting the work of boundary-pushing photographers, group discussion of the medium of photography and its expressive possibilities, and in-depth critique of student work. Students will be given thematic assignments, for which they will be expected to produce work on their own time throughout the duration of the course.
In addition to once-monthly class meetings, students will receive three one-on-one critique sessions with the instructor to discuss the progress of each assignment. The course will also feature an online discussion board that students can use to discuss photography-related topics in between classes.
