This class will run in conjunction with the Photographic Vision II traditional darkroom class. We will focus on developing a personal sense of vision through the act of making, while fine-tuning technical skills from lecture, demonstrations, group discussion, and critiques. Students will learn the basics of Adobe Lightroom to easily import, process, and print black & white images with an inkjet printer.
Outside the digital darkroom, students will be challenged to produce different types of photographic expressions through short-term and long-term assignments, integrated with visual knowledge from slide lectures.
In addition to in-class meetings, there will be occasional shooting trips and museum and gallery visits outside the class. Although these are not mandatory, students are strongly encouraged to attend these extra sessions.
