Photographing Autumn Woodlands and Meadows October 9, 2010

The beauty of fall in New England is probably no better represented than in its woodlands and meadows. Leaves painted in varying reds, oranges, and yellows settle quietly onto the forest floor to lie against newly formed mushrooms and brightly colored berries. In the fields, asters and goldenrods are heavy with flower, and a host of butterflies, dragonflies, and other insects are busily seeking the wealth of food that abounds. Join Bob Speare for an in-depth visit to the woodlands and meadows of the sanctuary to learn about the plants and animals that make these habitats their home. We'll approach each scene with a photographer's eye and learn how to best capture these magnificent colors and textures with a camera.
