Think your teen has an eye for visual images? Especially designed for young people, this introductory course teaches students to use and optimize their digital cameras while exploring the elements of exposure, composition, light, and subject matter.
Through a combination of mini lectures, lab time, and shooting, we'll learn what makes a photo compelling and unique, distinguishing excellent images from average ones.
With an emphasis on self-expression and creative vision, students will create and refine digital portfolios. Students will also receive shooting "homework" outside of class to enhance their participation and skill development.
Because computers will be used to edit and minimally process images, no photography experience is required.
