The Friends of Korea and Korean Consulate General in Los Angeles will host a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps and the 20th anniversary of Korea’s volunteer agency(KOICA). The exhibition, “A Story of Volunteerism: Americans in Korea, Koreans in the World” will feature over 40 photos that chronicles the Peace Corp volunteer experience in Korea(1961-1981) and highlight the work of KOICA around the World.
We honorably invite you to the opening show of this special exhibition which will be held on January 13, 2012, 6:00p.m. Please come and enjoy while reminiscing about the good old days. Of course enjoy the good food and Korean wine & Makgeolli, and also Music and Dance. The opening reception will include remarks from dignitaries representing Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles Yeon-Sung Shin, Former Peace Corps Volunteer Dan Strickland, an Alumni of KOICA, and other surprises.
