PHONO is relaunching. We heard your cries. Saturdays *are* way more fun in Brooklyn! So... remember where that Red Bull Ascension thing happened in May? That space. We're there. It's a full-on club downstairs. Warehouse space upstairs. We've been asked to program the downstairs for the opening weeks' events. (Upstairs is nuts... Sun Ra Arkestra!!!) Oh yeah... and it's HALLOWEEN! So it's going to be craaazzy.

And what about the music? We didn't skimp. A live set from Basteroid. He's 1/3 of the owners/operators of the Kompakt distributed Areal Records. Frank Martiniq (whose alias is Roan on Areal) is representing another Kompakt backed sister-label Boxer Recordings. These labels have helped define the Cologne sound, and it ain't just schaffel-house no more! And it's no secret that Plastique de Reve (one of the first standout artists on the original incarnation of Gigolo Records) is our long lost brother from Geneva. He's also a freak for acid-house-freestyle-detroit-techno-electro.
