Michael Christie, music director of the Phoenix Symphony, will be speaking about the current state of the performing arts both nationally and locally in a special speaking engagement at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Grand Canyon University’s Ethington Theatre. He will also share valuable insight, tales and advice on the performing arts career path. The 2011-12 season marks Christie’s eighth year as the symphony’s conductor. This event is open to the public.
