Cyril Dabydeen, writer, poet, professor, Ottawa:
"Usually we hear about song and dance multiculturalism, but it’s usually not very deep and very profound. But here tonight it was the most extraordinary cultural show I’ve ever seen and experienced...of course I want to come next year. [It] enriches Ottawa tremendously. Yeah, I came from Germany JUST to see this show. :-) I've seen all of them so far, and I don't hope to miss this one! I already got ALL my plane tickets and really I recamend it!
I went to see this show last night and was pretty disappointed. The costumes were beautiful and the dance performances were good, but there was too much Fa Lung Gong/divine stuff for my taste. I also did not like the solo/vocal performances or think they fit in with the rest of the show. I did, however, enjoy the high tech background props.
They also ran out of programs which is a big "faux pas" in my book. This was definitely not a "spectacular" event as it suggests.

I travelled from Tucson to New York City just to see this show last year.
I'm thrilled that it will be in Phoenix in 2008. This is a world-class production which is not only extraordinarily beautiful, it is also inspiring and uplifting. I recommend it very highly.
