What can arguments from modern science (for example, evolutionary theory or neuroscience) or from modern philosophy tell us, if anything, about the existence of God? Are these arguments logically valid or true? Once one separates the rhetoric (and the shouting!) from the substance of the central claims, what remains, what follows? Join us and find out in this fully illustrated day course. We will refer to thinkers such as Hume, Kant, Russell, Wittgenstein and Ayer and also to recent works by Dawkins, Onfray, Dennett and Stenger, among others.
