Philosophers' Café: Painting is dead. Long live painting!
Somehow, painting survived the invention of printing and photographic technology. In order to keep going, however, painting will behave as a transvestite, jester, butterfly or chameleon; it will even mimic love and death, just in order to get somebody’s attention. In spite of its strange intent, painting still attains magic. It is still able to steer the soul, trigger a smile, or pull a frown. Will painting resist and survive the fatal attraction of the digital age?
Admission is free.
