Guitarist Phil Petroff's style is deeply rooted in both Chicago and Texas-style blues, and the !60s rhythm & blues of Sam Cooke, Wilson Pickett and Otis Redding. He was formerly with Debbie Davis and Washington D.C. blues legends the Nighthawks before fronting his own band. In 1996, he was named Central New York's "Best Blues Guitarist" at the NYS Blues Festival, and the following year was honored with a SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Award) for "Best Blues Instrumentalist."
