We are the Queens NYC Chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays).
PFLAG is worldwide support group for the family members and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people.
The PFLAG-Queens meets on the 3rd Sunday of every month, at 2:00 PM at: the Reform Temple of Forest Hills located at 71-11 112th Street (2 blocks north of Queens Blvd.)
Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.
We provide opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
PFLAG serves gay men, lesbian women, bisexuals, transgendered persons and their parents, families and friends. Anyone who wants to help end discrimination based on sexual orientation. We welcome "straight, but not narrow" members openly!.
