Petstock 2010 Will Raise the Woof and the Roof on
Saturday Oct 9 & Sunday, October 10

Petstock 2010 (a furry, four-legged version of Woodstock) promises two days of Peace - Love and Puppies (kitties and other critters welcome too)! The two day event, sponsored by
Shelter Alliance is a fund-raising extravaganza for animals and their humans, too! The group collects donations and purchases pet supplies (and soon food) for over 300 rescues organizations and shelters. The alliance needs storage for the supplies, a new vehicle and trailer! So bottom line is they need money to keep the operation going. Recently a friend of Shelter Alliance totaled his van and trailer hauling supplies and food for the group and they recently lost their main storage space. Winter is coming and their temporary building is full so many supplies are outside, exposed to the elements.

Saturday, October 9 events include: rescues organizations and vendors with animal related items for sale and pets for adoption from 11 am -5 pm. The day will include a furry friend Halloween costume contest and parade, a Halloween costume contest for pets and a parade, and a talk from Missouri Ape and Primate. Petstock T-shirts will be on sale to help raise funds for warehouse and donations will be accepted.

The festivities on Sunday, Oct 10th will include a blessing of the animals and Vocalist Georgy Rock will perform. This is something that will inspire man and beast alike ! So bring your ferrets, bunnies, snakes, birds, pigs, goats and of course you cats and dogs at 11:00 a.m.to join the fun!
