Petersfield Food Festival

This year's Petersfield Food Festival has all the ingredients of a fantastic celebration of local food and cookery.

The finest producers and the best chefs will be gathering at Petersfield Square on June 5 and 6 for the town's third food festival.

The event is an ideal opportunity to get a taste of the varied goods produced in East Hampshire and the surrounding area and features Hampshire Farmers' Market, the town's Saturday market and individual traders.

Music has been laid on during Saturday to provide the perfect atmosphere for browsing the stalls or propping up the bar, set up in The Square and run by The George and the Square Brewery.

On Sunday top local chefs will give on-stage cookery demonstrations and explain the best way to get the most of the delicious ingredients on offer from the stalls and outlets throughout the festival.

And if you're hungry for more at Sunday lunchtime the Petersfield Food Award winners will be announced.

The event, sponsored by Chocolate Frog and Old Thorns Hotel, has been organised jointly between East Hampshire District Council, Petersfield Events and Hampshire Farmers' Market.
