Transporting children and adults alike into a world where time is suspended and an adventurous boy never grows up, this enduring favorite has captivated the hearts of successive generations since its Broadway debut in 1954. Peter Pan loses his shadow at the home of the Darling family, and upon his return to retrieve it, entices Wendy, Michael and John to fly with him to Neverland for a series of escapades that culminate in an exciting duel with the dastardly Captain Hook and Hook’s band of pirates. Many of the energetic and often poignant musical numbers have become songbook standards: I Won’t Grow Up, Ugg-a-Wugg, I’m Flying, I’ve Gotta Crow, and Tender Shepherd. And highlighting every performance is the moment when all in the audience clap boisterously to show their belief in fairies, thereby saving Tinker Bell from death by the poison she drank to save Peter’s life.
