Pete Francis / The Rescues May 19, 2010

On Wednesday, May 19th, the Red Room will be hosting Pete Francis. The former Dispatch member will be releasing his newest album, The Movie We Are In, the day before the show. With this upcoming project, he challenges listeners with contrast, combining the organic and the electronic, the standard and the hip, the familiar and the unfamiliar.

Though he was responsible for most of the production of his other solo albums, for this new release, he decided to work with producer Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow’s writer and guitarist). The two sought to make The Movie We Are In a work showcasing a spectrum of colors, rooted in talent and experience, and challenging the audience with its ambiguity and mystery.

Performing with Pete Francis are The Rescues. A group composed of four singer-songwriters; they’ve grown to an established sound in the LA scene since their formation in 2008. Not only that, but numerous works of theirs have been featured in TV programs (Grey’s Anatomy, Drop Dead Diva).
