Pet Wellness Class Benefiting Heartland Animal Shelter October 3, 2010

Join Heartland Animal Shelter for a Pet Wellness Class on Sunday, October 3rd from 11 am – 1 pm at Playful Paws at 680 Milwaukee Avenue in Prospect Heights. In this class, you will learn how to recognize sudden illness, evaluate your pet using the “Top to Tail” method and discover what is normal for your pet. The class will also cover the spread of disease between you and your pet and will demonstrate pet CPR. Barb Koffski, a certified master groomer who has also been certified as a pet CPR and first aid instructor, will conduct the wellness class. There will be time for questions after the presentation. The cost for the event is $15 with the proceeds benefiting Heartland’s Dr. Do More Fund, which is the special fund that enables Heartland to provide medical treatment to sick and injured animals that are admitted to the shelter.
