HALLOWEEN EVENT FOR PETS TO BENEFIT PLANNED PETHOOD
House Restaurant Hosting Event in Conjunction with
Pet Communicator Megan Riley

October 5, 2009 – Halloween is usually about the kids, but House Restaurant, Pet Communicator Megan Riley and Planned Pethood International are working together to take it to the dogs. Or rather, for the dogs.

“We are holding Pet Halloween event on Sunday, October 25th from 12 PM to 4 PM at House Restaurant in the Highlands,” says House Restaurant co-owner Chris Colbea. “We are really excited to have an event that is open for pet owners to bring their pets to our restaurant in costume and celebrate Halloween together.”

The event will feature appetizers for the pet-owners, a wine tasting by Wine Jester, and pet communications by Denver area pet communicator Megan Riley, all for an admission price of $10. All proceeds will go directly to Planned Pethood International, a charity whose mission is to reduce the overpopulation and suffering of dogs and cats through education and low cost spay/neuter programs and to rescue, vet and place adoptable dogs and cats into good homes.

“I’m very excited and honored to be asked to be a part of this event,” says Megan Riley, pet communicator. “I am very dedicated to supporting animal-related charities, and Planned Pethood International is doing exactly the kind of work that needs to be done. I also can’t wait to meet all of these pet-owners and their pets, and be able to help them out with any questions they might have about their own pets.”

Riley is able to use her talents to communicate with pets, and help owners solve any behavioral issues, health issues or other questions pet owners may have regarding their pets. She will be offering 10-minute pet communication sessions throughout the Pet Halloween event on the 25th, and pet owners are encouraged to contact her to set up a time to bring their pet.

“I encourage people to bring their pet with any questions they may have about behavioral issues, health issues or anything else that is on their mind,” says Riley. “We can explore these questions and hopefully help with some resolutions.”

The event will also feature door prizes and a dog costume contest. All who attend are invited to participate, and also wear costumes themselves to be eligible for prizes. Each pet must be accompanied by his or her owner.
“It should be a great time, and for a low cost you can enjoy a different approach to Halloween with your pet, and support a great charity at the same time,” says Colbea. “We are really looking forward to a successful event to raise a lot of money for a good cause.”
