Pet Behavior Issues: Puppies & Dogs January 26, 2011

Having Puppy/Dog behavior issues? If you feel that you’ve “tried everything,” Pet Behavior Issues: Puppies & Dogs, offered through UNM Continuing Education is for you. Annoying or even dangerous behaviors can start early. Stubborn problems like house soiling, biting, fighting, and destructiveness are serious; they worsen if not properly managed. Corrections and punishments often backfire because dogs regard any response from their leader as a reward. Dr. Nichol will teach you what to do and what to avoid. Positive behavior modification and counter-conditioning are skills you can put to use immediately. In this three hour class Dr. Jeff Nichol will address the canine behavior challenges faced by each course participant. Dr. Nichol’s light and entertaining teaching style will equip you with the tools you can use the entire life of your dog. Bring plenty of questions. All non-aggressive dogs are welcome. Class will be held from 6-9pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Canine Country Club in Albuquerque, NM. Tuition is $40.
