Perspectives: Reconstructing Paolo Veronese’s Petrobelli Altarpiece October 25, 2009

Xavier F. Salomon, the Arturo and Holly Melosi Chief Curator, Dulwich Picture Gallery, London, will discuss how art historians from the 1830s to the present day have worked on various reconstructions of Veronese's Petrobelli Altarpiece, and how the Blanton’s painting Head of an Angel was identified as the altarpiece's central fragment.
