In this session you will discover the essential elements of a strong set of personnel policies for a nonprofit corporation as they relate to New York State law and federal statutes, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the employee-at-will doctrine. Other topics to be covered include critical issues associated with sexual harassment, probation periods, and progressive discipline.
