Performance with Hilliard Greene’s In & Out Ensemble February 7, 2011

Hilliard Greene will be developing a new band.
The In & Out Ensemble will be a Jazz music ensemble that combines the abstract style of improvisation using songs entirely from the Jazz Standards repertoire performed by musicians that are highly versed and comfortable performing these in any setting while improvising abstractly.
Examples of some of the songs are, All The Things You Are. Caravan, Honeysuckle Rose, Take The A Train, etc., all of which are the standards that have been included in repertoires performed by Jazz musicians countless times for decades.

The band will improvise each song within this framework: The players will offer the use of their abstract musical expertise and rework the material in a way that will make something very familiar into something that is almost unrecognizable.
