Perez is jazz singer Diana Perez. Perez was born in Harlem, New York City. Though photography was her first love, jazz is her lasting love. She moved to Europe in the early '90s and focused on performing, gaining a weekly residency at Amsterdam's Bimhuis. Returning to her native NYC in 2000, Perez is now making her mark on the City with a growing reputation for her commitment to the art of storytelling through jazz. Unlike other singers who relegate their bands to the background, Perez involves her band as an integral part of the music.
