Percy Sledge, Clarence Carter & The TAMS in Concert May 9, 2009

Alabama-born deep soul singer Percy Sledge had a relatively brief period of intense popularity in the late '60s, fueled in large part by his rendition of the now-classic ballad, "When a Man Loves a Woman." The Tams' style has been referred to as beach music and smooth soul. Clarence Carter is a soul singer and musician famous for "Strokin," "Slip Away" and "Patches."
