Pepperdine Earth Day April 7, 2010

California Recycles will be setting up an electronic recycling drop of location at the Rho parking lot. Bring TVs, computers, printers, and practically any other electronics that have a cord or are run on batteries. The only items that they cannot accept are major appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines.

This event will help bring students, staff, faculty, and the local community together to learn about the different ways to live sustainably. There will be over 15 different booths set up in the Joslyn Plaza area, some of which include:

* Campus Recreation: sustainable camping scene
* Green Team: sustainable dorm room scene
* Farm Fresh to You: certified organic food delivery service
* Clothes the Deal: collects used business clothing for low income individuals
* Biology Club: grunion research
* Crown Disposal: Pepperdine’s single stream recycling vendor
* City of Malibu: watershed model to show the effects of pollution
* California Recycles: why recycling is important
* Multiple students presenting research on environmental issues.
