Peppercorn Ceremony April 26, 2006

Join the pomp and ceremony of the Annual Peppercorn Ceremony. The Ceremony originated in 1816 when Government moved from St. George to the City of Hamilton. The State House, where Government meetings were held, was granted to the town in trust for Lodge St.George #200, for the annual rent of one peppercorn. The Governor of Bermuda, the Premier, the Mayor of St. George and other dignitaries will be in attendance.
